dc.description.abstractThis study aims to analyze the effect of varying hot forging loads on the physical and mechanical properties of the (CuNi)-2.5wt.%Fe–5(Al–W) alloy produced through powder metallurgy with pre-milling treatment. The research process began with powder mixing using a V-mixer, compaction at 250 MPa, sintering at 770 °C for 1 hour, followed by hot forging using load variations of 343 N, 372 N, 402 N, and 431 N. The tests included density, hardness (Vickers), compressive strength, electrical conductivity, and microstructural analysis. The results showed that the increase in forging load had a significant impact on the material’s characteristics. The highest forging load (431 N) resulted in the highest density increase and a consistent reduction in porosity. Hardness and compressive strength also increased with higher loads, due to microstructural compaction and improved particle bonding. Microstructural analysis revealed grain refinement and more homogeneous phase distribution at higher loads. Additionally, electrical conductivity showed a moderate upward trend, indicating reduced internal resistance due to lower porosity. Overall, the variation in hot forging loads plays a crucial role in enhancing the structural density and mechanical properties of the (CuNi)-Fe-Al-W alloy, making it a potential candidate for EDM electrode materials with a balance of strength and conductivity.en_US
