V/AIDS is one of the global health problems that is still a threat, especially among adolescents. Transmission of this disease in adolescents often occurs due to unfavorable attitudes towards prevention, as well as lack of exposure to correct information, including from social media. Adolescents tend to have high curiosity and are vulnerable to environmental influences and information obtained, including from social media. Attitudes and exposure to HIV/AIDS prevention information through social media are thought to have a relationship with prevention behavior in adolescents. This study aimed to determine the relationship between attitude and exposure to social media with HIV/AIDS prevention behavior among adolescents at SMAN 17 Medan in 2025. This study used quantitative approach with cross sectional design. This study involved 74 students who were selected through random sampling technique. Using analytic survey method, data were collected using structured questionnaire and analyzed by chi square test. The results showed that there was no relationship between attitude and HIV/AIDS prevention behavior, p=0.588 > (α=0.05) and there was a relationship between social media exposure and HIV/AIDS prevention behavior p=0.013 < (α=0.05). The active role of schools and media in providing appropriate education to students is needed.en_US
