Introduction: High noise exposure in military personnel due to operational activities has the potential to cause noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL), impacting the quality of life and performance of soldiers. Methods: This study employed an analytical observational design with a cross-sectional approach involving 40 military personnel. Audiometric examination was conducted using calibrated equipment to detect NIHL. Demographic data and compliance levels in the use of hearing protection devices (HPD) were also collected. Results: Statistical analysis showed no significant relationship between gender and NIHL (p=0.338), but significant associations were found between age (p=0.005), length of service (p<0.001), and compliance with HPD usage (p<0.001) with NIHL. All soldiers with a length of service ≥5 years and age ≥40 years experienced NIHL. High compliance with HPD use reduced the risk of NIHL. Conclusion: There are significant relationships between age, length of service, and compliance with hearing protection device usage and noise-induced hearing loss in military personnel. Increasing compliance with HPD use and routine hearing screening are crucial in preventing NIHL.en_US
