dc.description.abstractThis research aims to design and implement a wind speed monitoring system using a cup anemometer integrated with an ESP32 microcontroller and the Blynk IoT platform. The system is capable of displaying real-time wind speed data on a smartphone application while simultaneously analyzing the effect of wind velocity on the charging process of a 12V 100Ah battery. Data collection was conducted through field testing under varying wind conditions within the range of 0–5 m/s. The experimental results indicate that wind speed directly influences the voltage and current generated by the small-scale wind turbine. Nevertheless, due to the generally low wind speed at the testing site, the charging performance was very limited, with only 57,05 mWh or approximately 0.0005% of the battery’s full capacity being stored. These findings highlight the dependency of small wind turbine charging efficiency on local wind potential. The proposed system demonstrates the feasibility of small-scale renewable energy monitoring and provides practical insights into the challenges of harnessing wind energy in areas with low wind availability. Furthermore, this study can serve as a reference for the future development of IoT-based renewable energy monitoring systems that are more efficient, cost-effective, and user-friendlyen_US
