Pelanggaran Prinsip Kerja Sama dan Implikatur Percakapan dalam Podcast Program #Ngopenk dr. Tirta Periode Maret 2025

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the forms of cooperative principle violations and conversational implicatures in the #Ngopenk podcast hosted by dr. Tirta. The research data consist of the speakers’ utterances in three episodes of the #Ngopenk podcast aired on March 11, March 15, and March 25, 2025. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. The data source of this study is the #Ngopenk podcast episodes uploaded on the official YouTube channel of dr. Tirta. The data were collected using the listening and note-taking techniques. Based on the data analysis, several conclusions were drawn. First, the forms of cooperative principle violations found in the #Ngopenk podcast cover all four maxims: quantity, quality, relevance, and manner. Second, the conversational implicatures resulting from those violations consist of seven types: explaining, convincing, advising, commanding, requesting, implying criticism, and praising. These violations and implicatures do not necessarily indicate communication failure but rather deliberate communicative strategies used to reinforce meaning, build closeness, and convey criticism or opinions indirectly. This study contributes to enriching pragmatic studies, particularly in the context of non-formal digital discourse such as podcasts.
