Living with cancer presents a profound and multifaceted challenge for patients. The role of family and the surrounding community is essential in providing meaningful social support. This study aims to explore the lived experiences and perceived meaning of social support among individuals with cancer, employing a phenomenological approach. Participants consisted of two female cancer patients who had undergone treatment for more than six months, selected through purposive sampling, and who had received various forms of social support. In-depth interviews revealed that participants experienced emotional, instrumental, informational, and appraisal support, each contributing significantly to their psychological well-being. Support from family, friends, and the community was found to enhance resilience, motivation for treatment, and foster stronger social relationships and spiritual beliefs. Despite experiencing physical and psychological decline, the presence of social support enabled participants to cope and adapt positively. These findings underscore the critical role of social support in improving the quality of life for cancer patients.en_US
