    Abstract
This study aims to describe the forms, meanings, and factors influencing conversational implicatures among the Indonesian public regarding the issue of the enactment of the Asset Confiscation Bill. The classification of conversational implicature forms by George Yule’s idea, the meanings of conversational implicatures are analyzed which was pioneered by Searle, and the factors influencing conversational implicatures are examined which was proposed by Grice. The total data collected in this study comprises 50 instances containing various forms, meanings, and influencing factors of conversational implicatures. The data were gathered through the listening method, with data collection techniques employing the recording technique. For data analysis, this study applies the pragmatic equivalent method. The basic technique used in the analysis is the determinant element sorting technique, whose sorting power is mental in nature and possessed by the researcher, focusing on pragmatic sorting power. The results of the study indicate that there are two forms of conversational implicatures, namely general conversational implicatures and particular conversational implicatures. The meanings of conversational implicatures found in this study include expressing, insinuating, suggesting, ordering, agreeing, and informing. The factors influencing the emergence of conversational implicatures are violations of one of the maxims in the cooperative principle, namely the maxim of quantity, maxim of quality, maxim of relevance, or maxim of manner.
