This study aims to examine the autecology of endemic plants on Mursala Island, specifically the species Begonia mursalaensis Girm., M.Hughes dan Ardi. The research was conducted in the forest area of Mursala Island, Tapanuli Tengah, North Sumatra, focusing on the morphological adaptations and distribution patterns of this species. The method used was purposive sampling, collecting data on morphology and environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity. The results indicate that Begonia mursalaensis has good morphological adaptations to the tropical forest environment, with the highest Important Value Index (IVI) of 102.632, indicating a high dominance in the vegetation community. Additionally, the distribution pattern of this species tends to be clumped, with a Morisita Index value of 1.112. This research is expected to serve as a source of information and reference for the management and development of natural forests, as well as conservation efforts for endemic plants on Mursala Island.en_US
