Pengelolaan Pelayanan dan Asuhan Keperawatan Klien dengan Isolasi Sosial Melalui Penerapan Social Skill Training di Medan Johor

Abstract

Clients who experience social isolation have barriers to social interaction with others. This is because clients feel rejected, not accepted, lonely and unable to build meaningful relationships. Therefore, a psychosocial intervention is needed that can help them overcome obstacles in interacting with others. One of the psychosocial interventions that can be provided to clients with social isolation is social skills training. The purpose of writing this senior practice report is to implement Social Skill Training as an effort to improve the quality of nursing care with Social Isolation. The methods used are interviews, lectures, discussions and demonstrations. The results of this nursing care provision show that both clients with social isolation problems after being given Social Skill Training interventions have increased interest in interacting and decreased withdrawal. Clients no longer close themselves and have started to open conversations with others and carry out activities at home such as sweeping the house and yard and watering the plants. The implementation of Social Skill Training can be used as one of the psychosocial interventions to help clients improve their ability to interact and perform social skills.
