    Abstract
    Premature infants require care in a controlled environment, one of which is through the use of an incubator. A prototype of the Smart Incubator has been developed to monitor infant conditions via an application; however, it still has several limitations, such as uneven heat distribution, unstable humidity, excessive air circulation, and electromagnetic field (EMF) exposure exceeding safe limits. This study aims to develop a safe and efficient Smart Incubator by optimizing the heating system, humidity control, air circulation, and minimizing EMF exposure. The research method used was engineering design. The test results showed that the fan configuration placed after the heating element with 320 watts of power produced a more uniform and stable heat distribution. The humidification system was able to increase humidity within 197 seconds, while the air velocity was successfully reduced to below 0.35 m/s according to the standard. In addition, the heating material was able to operate continuously for 24 hours without degradation, and the use of iron plates proved effective in reducing EMF intensity to meet the safety limits set by ICNIRP.
