This study aims to examine the relationship between Internet addiction and sofalizing among adolescents. The sample consisted of 354 adolescents aged 15–18 years, selected using accidental sampling. This research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. Data were collected using Likert-type instruments, namely the Bergen Facebook Addiction Scale with 18 items, adapted into Indonesian by Napitupulu and Rangkuti (2023), and the Sofalizing Scale with 11 items developed by Tostuntas (2020). The data obtained were analyzed using Spearman Rank Correlation. The results showed that the mean score of Internet addiction was 54 (SD = 12), while the mean score of sofalizing was 33 (SD = 7.3). Further analysis revealed a significant and positive relationship between Internet addiction and sofalizing among adolescents (r = 0.867; p = 0.001 < 0.05). These findings indicate that the higher the level of Internet addiction in adolescents, the greater the tendency to experience sofalizing.en_US
