    Abstract
Exclusive breastfeeding is recognized as the single most effective preventive intervention to reduce child mortality in the world. Unfortunately, the practical success of Exclusive Breastfeeding is still greatly hindered in daily life. Breast pain due to nipple abrasions is one of the most common reasons for early weaning. Based on the interview results with the Head of the Maternity Ward (Ns. Y), the number of mothers who gave birth in April was 30. Eight mothers gave birth normally, and 22 mothers gave birth via C-section. One of the causes of failure in breastfeeding is the lack or complete absence of experience and knowledge about how to breastfeed correctly. Therefore, it is very important to provide health care during breastfeeding and proper breastfeeding techniques to prepare the physical and psychological well-being of the mother to provide breast milk to the baby. The provision of nursing care was conducted at the Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis educational hospital. The purpose of this senior practical report is to enhance students' abilities in providing nursing care to postpartum mothers with breastfeeding difficulties. After being given nursing care for 3 consecutive days, it was found that the mothers' breastfeeding abilities (position and attachment) improved, the drops/sprays of breast milk in both managed patients increased, the adequate breast milk supply increased, the confidence of both managed patients increased, and the maternal anxiety of the three managed patients decreased.
