In supporting the transition to clean energy, DC fast-charging stations for electric vehicles face significant power-quality challenges due to harmonic currents generated by non-linear power converters. These harmonics can reduce system efficiency and accelerate equipment wear. This study compares two harmonic-mitigation techniques—Shunt Active Filter (SAF) and Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM)—in a three-phase, 100 kW DC fast-charging system modeled in MATLAB/Simulink. Simulation results indicate that SAF reduces the current Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) on phases R, S, and T from 26.99%, 24.56%, dan 21.80% down to 1.20%, 1.06%, dan 1.98%, respectively. Meanwhile, SPWM lowers THD to 0.77%, 0.88%, dan 1.58% on the same phases. Therefore, SAF demonstrates superior effectiveness in mitigating current harmonics and is recommended for enhancing power quality in DC fast-charging stations
