This study aims to analyze the impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution on
Indonesia's economic growth during the period 2019–2023. The Fourth Industrial
Revolution, marked by advances in information and communication technology
(ICT), ICT access and infrastructure, as well as ICT skills, is believed to
contribute to increased productivity and national economic growth. This research
employs a quantitative approach using panel data regression analysis on 34
provinces in Indonesia, with a total of 170 observations. The data used are
secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS).
The results of the study indicate that ICT usage, ICT access and
infrastructure, and ICT skills have a positive and significant effect on Indonesia’s
economic growth. This is evidenced by the t-test and F-test results, which show
that all independent variables significantly influence the economic growth
variable, both partially and simultaneously. The coefficient of determination
(Adjusted R²) of 0.490 suggests that these three variables can explain 49% of the
variation in Indonesia's economic growth during the study period.
This study recommends increasing investments in ICT development,
improving digital infrastructure, and enhancing the community's digital skills to
support accelerated economic growth in the era of the Fourth Industrial
Revolution.
