of schooling on the Human Development Index (HDI) in North Sumatra Province.

The data used in this study are secondary data, including per capita GRDP, open
unemployment rate, average years of schooling, and HDI, with a sample size of
33 districts/municipalities and a data period spanning 2019–2023. The analytical

shows a positive and significant impact on the HDI. Similarly, average years of
schooling positively and significantly influence the HDI. Collectively, per capita
GRDP, open unemployment rate, and average years of schooling simultaneously
