Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) includes physical and psychological protection of workers, including overcoming work stress. Work stress is a condition of tension that arises due to an imbalance between job demands and the ability of individuals to deal with them. If left unchecked, work stress can have an impact on reducing productivity, mental health, and employee performance. This study aims to determine the factors associated with work stress in employees of PT Hakasima Medan City Branch. This study uses a quantitative design with a cross sectional approach. The number of respondents was 51 people who were taken through total sampling technique. Data collection was done through interviews using a questionnaire. The dependent variable is job stress measured using the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) questionnaire, while the independent variables include task demands, role demands, interpersonal demands, and personal economic problems. Data were analyzed univariately and bivariately using the Spearman test. The results showed that the majority of employees experienced moderate levels of job stress (41.2%). There was a significant relationship between job stress and task demands (p=0.025), role demands (p=0.026), interpersonal demands (p=0.006), and personal economic problems (p=0.002). These findings suggest that employee job stress is influenced by job pressure, role ambiguity, social interactions at work, and personal economic burden. Therefore, companies need to make efforts to prevent and control work stress through workload management, role clarity, strengthening work relationships, and supporting employees' economic welfare.en_US
