    Abstract
Background: A pharmacy is one of the pharmaceutical service facilities that plays a crucial role in ensuring the availability, safety, quality, and rational use of medicines within the community. In line with advancements in pharmaceutical sciences and the evolving paradigm of healthcare services, the role of pharmacists in pharmacies has extended beyond the mere distribution of medicines. It now encompasses clinical pharmacy services, patient education, and drug therapy monitoring, all aimed at improving patients’ quality of life. The Pharmacist Professional Practice Program (PKPA) serves as a platform to equip prospective pharmacists with practical, hands-on experience in the field. Objective: This PKPA program aims to enhance prospective pharmacists’ understanding of the roles, duties, and responsibilities of pharmacists in community pharmacies, as well as to evaluate the implementation of pharmaceutical services based on applicable standards and regulations. Method: The PKPA was carried out at Queensha Pharma Pharmacy from November 1 to 28, 2024, through direct observation, active participation, and documentation of pharmaceutical activities, covering the management of pharmaceutical preparations and clinical pharmacy services. Results: The activities included the planning, requisition, receipt, storage, distribution, control, recording, reporting, and evaluation of pharmaceutical preparations and medical consumables (BMHP). In addition, clinical pharmacy services were conducted, such as prescription review, drug information services, patient counseling, adverse drug reaction (ADR) monitoring, and drug therapy monitoring. The PKPA provided real-world experience in facing challenges and developing strategies to optimize pharmaceutical services at the primary healthcare level. Conclusions: The PKPA at Queensha Pharma Pharmacy enhanced the competencies of prospective pharmacists in both technical and clinical aspects, while also reinforcing the critical role of pharmacists in ensuring patient safety and the rational use of medicines, thereby supporting the quality of healthcare services provided at the pharmacy.
