Organic waste such as household waste (fruit and vegetable waste), livestock, especially from fermented chicken, cow, goat, and sheep waste has the potential as a medium for growing maggots. This study aims to determine the effect of various types of organic waste media on maggot production. The study was conducted using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 6 treatments and 3 replications, namely P1 (vegetable waste), P2 (fruit waste), P3 (dairy goat feces), P4 (laying hen feces), P5 (meat cow feces), P6 (meat sheep feces). The variables observed included fresh weight production, dry weight production and maggot feed consumption. The results showed that the provision of different organic waste media had an effect on maggot production. Statistical analysis (ANOVA) and Duuncan test) showed a very significant effect (P <0.01) on feed consumption, fresh weight, and dry weight of maggots. The best treatment was obtained in vegetable waste media (P1) showing the highest feed consumption of 4,488 grams, but did not provide a significant effect (P>0.05) on P2 (fruit waste), P4 (laying hen feces), and P5 (beef cattle feces). The highest fresh weight was found in vegetable waste media (P1) of 973.33 grams. The highest dry weight was found in beef cattle feces media (P5) of 250.00 grams.en_US
