| dc.description.abstract | This research aims to find out how the effectiveness of mobile library services at the Department of Library and Archives of Langsa City is. The research method used was qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The determination of informants used a purposive sampling technique. The informants consisted of five people, namely the head of the library division, mobile library service officers, and visitors. The data were tested using source triangulation, technique triangulation, and time triangulation. The guideline used in this research was the Guidelines for the Implementation of Mobile Libraries in 2013 by the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia, which has four indicators, namely types of services, service programs, types of vehicle equipment, and service statistics. The results showed that, first, the type of mobile library service was open, including circulation and reference services. Second, the service programs implemented included library promotion and storytelling activities, although constrained by human resources trained in storytelling and not carried out regularly. Third, the type of vehicle was a car, with three operational units used that did not yet meet technical standards and were poorly maintained. The available mobile library equipment was also still limited. Fourth, the service statistics for the number of mobile library visitors in 2023 amounted to 6.714 people. | en_US |
