Faktor-Faktor Sosial Ekonomi yang Mempengaruhi Keputusan Petani dalam Mengembangkan Usaha Tani Wortel (Studi Kasus : Desa Barusjahe, Kecamatan Barusjahe, Kabupaten Karo)

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of socio-economic factors onfarmers’ decisions to develop carrot farming in Desa Barusjahe, Kecamatan Barusjahe, Kabupaten Karo The variables examined include experience, education, participation in farmer groups, income, acces to capital, and land area. The analytical method used is Multiple Linier Regression. The results show that education, experience, land area, income have a positive and significant influence on farmers’. Meanwhile, group participation, and acces to capital do not have a significant impacts. The findings are expected so serve as a consideration in formulating policies and programs which is supporting the development of carrot farming by farmers in Desa Barusjahe
