| dc.description.abstract | This study aims to describe the intrinsic elements in the film Puteri Gunung Ledang such as theme, characters and characterization, plot, setting and morals also describe the social phenomena contained in the film Puteri Gunung Ledang which include social facts, social events, social behavior, and social change. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The theory used in this study is structural theory and sociology of literature. The data of this study comes from the film Puteri Gunung Ledang. The data collection technique used is the technique of listening and taking notes. The data analysis technique used is the technique of analyzing dialogue and images contained in the film Puteri Gunung Ledang. The results of this study indicate that in the intrinsic elements there is a theme that tells the story of a person's struggle in choosing between love and responsibility amidst the pressure of power and royal rules that restrict the freedom to determine their own path in life. The characters and characterization of the protagonists number 9 characters and the antagonists number 3 characters. In the aspect of the plot, this film is a mixed plot. There are settings of places namely the Majapahit Empire, Melaka, Gunung Ledang, Melaka Market, and Demak. The time settings in this film are morning, afternoon, evening, and night. The background aspect of the atmosphere in this film depicts an atmosphere of anger, anxiety, happiness, sadness, and fear. The message contained in this film is that loyalty and responsibility are a difficult choice, power cannot force love, women have the right to determine their choices, and a great love must have a great sacrifice. The social facts in this film are the royal government system and the position of women in the feudal structure. The social events in this study are depicted from Demak attacking Majapahit, the matchmaking of Gusti Putri with Sultan Mahmud, the sending of Hang Tuah to lead the engagement group, the meeting in Majapahit, the meeting in Melaka, the secret meeting of Gusti Putri with Hang Tuah, the giving of difficult conditions to be fulfilled, the conflict between Gusti Adipati and Hang Tuah and the meeting in Melaka. The social behaviors found in this study are asking for help to Melaka, obeying the Sultan's orders, discussing Gusti Putri's proposal, the announcement of Gusti Putri's marriage, talking about releasing longing, a form of rejection, fighting, discussing the conditions given by Gusti Putri. The social changes in the film are choosing to follow the fight for her desires, and wanting to be free from the position of women in the feudal structure. | en_US |
