L PERMANA TARIGAN. Evaluation of Nutritional Content of Maggots (Hermetia Illucens) Maintained in Various Livestock Feces Media (Supervised by YUNILAS and NURZAINAH GINTING). The demand for economical and sustainable alternative protein sources in animal feed has encouraged the utilization of black soldier fly (Hermetia illucens) larvae. The nutritional composition of maggots is strongly influenced by the rearing substrate, including livestock manure rich in organic matter. This study aimed to evaluate the nutrient content of maggots reared on different livestock manures: layer chicken, beef cattle, dairy goat, and mutton sheep. A Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was applied with four treatments and three replications. Parameters observed included moisture content, dry matter, crude protein, ash, organic matter, crude fat, and crude fiber. The results showed that manure type significantly affected (P<0.05) crude protein, crude fat, and moisture content, but had no significant effect (P>0.05) on ash and crude fiber. Maggots reared on layer chicken manure exhibited the best nutritional profile, with the highest crude protein content of 41.73%. Therefore, layer chicken manure is recommended as an optimal substrate to improve maggot nutritional quality as a sustainable and economical alternative feed ingredient. Keywords: Animal waste, Maggots, Nutritional, Feed, Crude Proteinen_US
