The cassava starch lactic acid production plant is planned to have a
capacity of 5,000 tons per year and operate 330 days a year. The main process in
the pre-designed plant consists of five stages: cassava raw material preparation,
cassava starch hydrolysis, fermentation, acidification, and product purification.
The factory is planned to be located in Karang Anyar City, Central Java
Province, Indonesia, with a required land area of 16,226 m2. The company's
business entity is planned to be a Limited Liability Company (PT) and its
organizational form is a line and staff organization with a workforce of 159
people required. The results of the analysis of the economic aspects of this
cassava starch lactic acid manufacturing plant are: - Investment Capital
= IDR 1,680,746,664,549 - Annual Production Cost - Annual Product Selling Price - Annual Net Profit - Profit Margin (PM) - Break Even Point (BEP) - Return on Investment (ROI) - Payout Time (POT) - Return on Network (RON) - Internal Rate of Return (IRR)
= IDR 579,851,365,785
= IDR 1,024,677,315,021
= IDR 311,433,164,466
= 43.41%
= 45.19%
= 18.53%
= 5.39 Years
= 30.88%
= 29.94%
From the results of the economic aspect analysis, it can be concluded that
a lactic acid manufacturing plant from cassava starch using the fermentation
method with a capacity of 5,000 tons/year is feasible to be established.
