Anemia in pregnant women is a global health problem. The WHO estimates that 37% of pregnant women suffer from anemia, with a prevalence of 28% in Indonesia in 2023, 3% in North Sumatera in 2023, and 41% in Medan in 2018. Anemia occurs when blood hemoglobin levels are lower than normal, <11 g/dL, and can be caused by a low number of red blood cells. Anemia can increase the risk of fetal growth restriction, preterm birth, low birth weight, perinatal hemorrhage, and maternal and infant mortality. This study aims to determine the relationship between Fe consumption and the incidence of anemia in pregnant women at Prof. dr. Chairuddin P. Lubis Teaching Hospital in 2025. This study used an analytical cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 101 pregnant women, selected using accidental sampling through interviews. Univariate data were analyzed descriptively, and bivariate data were analyzed using the chi-square test. The results of the analysis showed that the proportion of pregnant women with anemia at Prof. Dr. Chairuddin P. Lubis Teaching Hospital in 2025 was 64.4%. There was a relationship from the analysis using the chi-square test between gestational age (p<0.05), knowledge (p<0.05), compliance with iron tablet consumption (p<0.05), and iron tablet consumption (p<0.05) with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women at Prof. Dr. Chairuddin P. Lubis Teaching Hospital in 2025. It is recommended that Prof. dr. Chairuddin P. Lubis Teaching Hospital provide ample information about iron tablet consumption for pregnant women to prevent anemia, and that pregnant women consume iron tablets daily to avoid bleeding during childbirth and malnutrition in their unborn babies.en_US
