Maggot flour derived from Hermetia illucens larvae has potential as a natural antibacterial agent due to the presence of bioactive compounds such as antimicrobial peptides and medium-chain fatty acids. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of maggot flour as an antibacterial agent against Escherichia coli and Salmonella sp. The research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with five treatments: P0 = 1% Streptomycin antibiotic (positive control), P1 = 10% maggot flour from layer chicken manure, P2 = 10% maggot flour from meat sheep manure, P3 = 10% maggot flour from dairy goat manure, and P4 = 10% maggot flour from beef cattle manure. Each treatment was replicated three times. The antibacterial activity was measured using the disc diffusion method on PCA media. The results showed that the treatments had a significant effect on antibacterial activity. The highest inhibition zone against Escherichia coli was observed in P2 (10% maggot flour from meat sheep manure), with an average diameter of 14.5 ± 3.041 mm. For Salmonella sp., the highest inhibition zone was found in P4 (10% maggot flour from beef cattle manure), with an average of 5.833 ± 10.103 mm. The positive control (P0) produced the largest inhibition zones for both bacterial types and was significantly different (p < 0.05. Compared to the other treatments.en_US
