Factors Associated with the Utilization of Posbindu Ptm among Hypertensive Patients in the Working Area of Kampung Baru Public Health Center in 2025
Abstract
The Integrated Service Post for Non-Communicable Diseases (Posbindu PTM) is a strategic initiative by the Indonesian government aimed at promotive and preventive efforts, particularly for hypertension. However, the utilization of this service remains relatively low in the working area of the Kampung Baru Public Health Center. This study aims to examine the factors associated with the utilization of Posbindu PTM among individuals with hypertension in this area in 2025. A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design was employed. The study population consisted of 2,100 individuals, from which a sample of 91 respondents was selected using proportional random sampling. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test. The findings revealed that only 33% of respondents utilized Posbindu PTM. Significant associations were found between utilization and the variables of gender (p=0.026), knowledge (p=0.000), attitude (p=0.000), family support (p=0.000), and support from health workers (p=0.006). Meanwhile, age (p=0.660) and accessibility (p=0.968) showed no significant associations. The low utilization rate of Posbindu PTM suggests the need for enhanced awareness. Internal factors such as knowledge and attitude, along with external factors like family and health worker support, play important roles in influencing participation. Strengthening health promotion and motivation from both healthcare providers and families is crucial to optimize the use of Posbindu PTM services.
