Analisis Alih Kode dalam Ceramah Ustadzah Oki Setiana Dewi pada Media Sosial Youtube

Abstract

This study discusses code-switching in the sermons of Ustadzah Oki Setiana Dewi on the social media platform YouTube. The purpose of this research is to analyze the types of code-switching and the factors influencing its occurrence in the sermons. This research is based on the sociolinguistic theory proposed by Ronald Wardhaugh (2006) and the SPEAKING model theory by Hymes (1972). It is a library research employing a qualitative descriptive approach. The data were collected using the observation and note-taking techniques by Sudaryanto (2015). The data source of this research is the utterances of Ustadzah Oki Setiana Dewi containing code-switching, taken from her official YouTube channel, Oki Setiana Dewi Official. The results of this study show that there are 28 instances of code-switching, consisting of 16 situational code-switching instances and 12 metaphorical code-switching instances. The factors influencing the occurrence of code-switching include eight components of speech, namely: setting and scene, participants, ends, act sequence, key, instrumentalities, norms, and genre.
