| dc.description.abstract | Biosolar is a fuel with a lower environmental impact than conventional fuels due to its biodiesel content, which is derived from renewable vegetable oils. However, biosolar still produces environmentally harmful emissions due to its petroleum diesel content, necessitating blends that can reduce these emissions. This study examines the effect of adding eucalyptus essential oil as a bioadditive (0%, 0.5%, 1%) and increasing biodiesel concentration (B50, B65, and B80) on the characteristics of biosolar fuel. Testing was conducted according to Indonesian National Standards (SNI), with parameters including viscosity (ASTM D445), density (ASTM D1298), flash point (ASTM D93), and ash content (ASTM D482). The results were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by Duncan's multiple range test (DMRT). The result indicated that the addition of 1% eucalyptus essential oil and 80% biodiesel (A3B80) yields optimal characteristics: viscosity of 3.63 mm²/s, density of 859.9 kg/m³, flash point of 132°C, and undetectable ash content. | en_US |
