This study aims to examine the role of job satisfaction in predicting grit among teachers. The research is grounded in the understanding that teachers require perseverance and consistent interest to face various challenges in the field of education. Grit, which consists of perseverance of effort and consistency of interest, is considered a crucial psychological trait that supports long-term professional success. Job satisfaction is viewed as a contextual factor that may contribute to the development of grit. This research employed a quantitative approach using a simple linear regression method. The study involved 355 teacher participants selected through convenience sampling. The instruments used were the job satisfaction scale based on Spector’s theory (2022) and the grit scale based on Duckworth’s theory (2007), both of which were validated prior to data collection. The results revealed a significant relationship between job satisfaction and grit, with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.550, indicating that job satisfaction contributes 55% to the variance in grit among teachers. The regression equation obtained was Y = 18.093 + 0.270X, indicating that every one-unit increase in job satisfaction leads to a 0.270 increase in grit. These findings suggest that teachers with higher job satisfaction tend to have greater grit.
