Biobriquettes are a special type of briquette made from biomass, or renewable organic material. They are an alternative to fossil fuels. They are typically made by compressing various types of biomass and mixing them with a binder. In Indonesia, biobriquette production is generally still carried out traditionally. Therefore, the use of agricultural technology is necessary to increase biobriquette production. Mechanical biobriquette molding can be done using a conveyor-shaped screw press to press and mold the biobriquettes. This tool uses a combustion engine as its power source. Experimental results show that the average effective capacity of the tool is 56,426 kg/hour, with a printing yield of 66%, losses of 34%, energy required by the mixer of 2,061.72 kJ, and energy required by the screw press of 35,636 kJ. The economic analysis obtained the required production costs of 17.53 IDR/kg, BEP of 196.60 kg/year, NVP of 2,463,835,283 IDR/year and IRR of 43.85% which states that the machine is suitable for publication.
