Biobriquettes are briquette fuels made from agricultural biomass charcoal (plant parts), either in the form of parts that are deliberately used as raw materials for briquettes or waste from the agro-industrial production/processing process. The lack of public awareness of the negative effects of waste that always pollutes the environment makes the environment a source of problems that cause a lot of environmental damage. The purpose of this study is to see the benefits of agricultural waste that often pollutes the environment by observing the research parameters of calorific value, water content, ash content, density and combustion rate of a biobriquette. The method used in this study is to utilize corn waste as a raw material for making biobriquettes. By conducting four treatments and six repetitions, the results of this study obtained an average calorific value of 3,587,632 kcal/gr, the water content in the biobriquette was an average of 0,81% of the weight of the biobriquette, the ash content remaining from combustion was an average of 14,64% of the weight of the biobriquette before combustion, the density value was an average of 0,35 kg/m3 and the combustion rate value was an average of 0,353 g/minute.
