This study aims to identify the types of mammals present in the forest area of Mursala Island by measuring the species diversity index, species richness, relative abundance, and analyzing the threats faced by mammals on Mursala Island as an effort to support the conservation of mammals. Data was collected using the exploration method, which exploring the forest and recording species, time, location and number of individuals. The study recorded 12 species belonging to 8 families with totalling 60 individuals. The Shannon-Wiener diversity index (H') of 1.78 which is classified as low. Margalef species richness index (R1) of 2.20 indicates low species richness. The most dominant species was the Long-tailed Monkey (Macaca fascicularis) with the highest relative abundance of 33.33% and a total of 20 individuals. A threat analysis revealed that illegal logging and poaching pose a serious threats to the survival of mammals on Mursala Island. This finding confirms that Mursala Island has important potential as a mammal habitat. The data obtained is expected to provide a preliminary picture of mammal species on Mursala Island and become an important basis for efforts to protect and conserve biodiversity in the region.en_US
