| dc.description.abstract | The use of Antibiotic Growth Promoters (AGPs) in the livestock industry has been banned due to concerns over antibiotic resistance and residues in animal products. Therefore, safe and effective feed additives such as probiotics and organic acids are needed. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of Bacillus sp. and propionic acid supplementation in basal rations on the intestinal length and weight, intestinal pH, and lesion scores of broiler chickens. The experiment used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with five treatments and four replications. The results showed that the combination of Bacillus sp. (500 ppm) and propionic acid (3000 ppm) (P4) produced the best outcomes, including increased jejunal length and weight, reduced intestinal pH, and significantly lower lesion scores, indicating improved intestinal health. Based on these findings, the combination of Bacillus sp. and propionic acid has the potential to be an effective alternative to AGPs in improving feed efficiency and intestinal health in broiler chickens. | en_US |
