Classification of emotions is the various types of emotions felt by each character in a story in a literary work. This study aims to analyze the classification of character emotions in the novel بنات الرياض / Banātu Ar-Riyāḍ/ by Raja` ‘Abdullah Al-Sanea,using the theory of literary psychology proposed by David Krech( in Minderop). The classification of emotions in this study is divided into 7 parts, namely: Guilt, suppressed guilt, self-punishment, shame, sadness, hatred, and love. This research is qualitative descriptive study with data collection techniques in this study using the listening method and note-taking techniques. The results of the study show a total of 45 data with 1 data of guilt emotions, 5 data of suppressed guilt, 2 data of self-punishment, 5 data of shame, 11 data of sadness, 10 data of hatred, and 11 data of love. The findings in the novel بنات الرياض / Banātu Ar-Riyāḍ/ indicate that the emotions expressed by the characters are highly diverse. This diversity is reflected trough the characteristics, unique traits, and various factors that trigger the emergence of these emotional expressions.
