Marginalisasi terhadap Tokoh Utama Perempuan pada Film Wo Jingguo Fengbao Karya Qin Haiyan

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the form of women's marginalization and women's agency efforts on the main character in the film 我经过风暴 Wǒ Jīngguò Fēngbào by using descriptive qualitative research methods. The theories used to analyze are Patriarchy theory by Sylvia Walby and Agency theory by Sherry B. Ortner. The data from this research were analyzed using content analysis techniques by observing and recording dialogue in the form of sentences, words and scenes contained in the film 我经过风暴 Wǒ Jīngguò Fēngbào, then grouped based on forms of women's marginalization and women's agency efforts. Based on the dialogues and scenes contained in the film 我经过风暴 Wǒ Jīngguò Fēngbào, researchers found 11 scenes that show forms of women's marginalization, and 5 scenes that show women's agency efforts. Marginalization of women can be found in the private and public spheres influenced by the patriarchal society system, so that women do not have free movement both in the household and in the social scope of society.
