Makna dan Nilai Budaya Pada Nama Masjid Berbahasa Arab Di Kecamatan Gunung Meriah Aceh Singkil: Kajian Antropolinguistik

Abstract

This study aims to describe the meanings contained in the Arabic names of mosques in Gunung Meriah District, Aceh Singkil, and to identify the cultural values embedded within them using Sibarani's anthropolinguistic theory. The research was conducted in Gunung Meriah District, Aceh Singkil. This study employed a qualitative descriptive method with an anthropolinguistic perspective. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the Arabicmosque names in Gunung Meriah District contain futuristic meanings, situational meanings, and commemorative meanings. Out of 25 names, 18 carry futuristic meanings, 4 have situational meanings, and 3 reflect commemorative meanings. The cultural values found in the Arabicmosque names in Gunung Meriah District include values of welfare, discipline, education, mutual cooperation, peace, care, and gratitude.
