This research was motivated by the prevalence of narcotics crimes committed not only by adults but also by children, such as children's involvement as intermediaries in the sale and purchase of narcotics, which was discussed along with an
analysis of law enforcement in Decision Number 7/PID. SUS-Anak/2024/PN.MDN,
Decision Number: 20/PID.SUS-Anak/2024/PN.MDN, and Decision Number
54/PID.SUS-Anak/2024/PN.MDN. Based on the background of this study, there are
several key issues that will be discussed, namely: how does criminal law regulate
children as intermediaries in the sale and purchase of Class I narcotics? How does
criminal law in Indonesia regulate the sanctions that can be imposed on children
who commit criminal acts? How are criminal sanctions imposed on children as
intermediaries in the sale and purchase of Class I narcotics in Decision Number
7/PID. SUS-Anak/2024/PN.MDN, Decision Number 20/PID.SUSAnak/2024/PN.MDN, and Decision Number 54/PID.SUS-Anak/2024/PN.MDN
from the perspective of the Juvenile Criminal Justice System Law? This study uses
normative legal research. The data used is secondary data, which includes primary,
secondary, and tertiary legal materials analyzed qualitatively. The results of the
study show that the legal regulation of children as intermediaries in the sale and
purchase of Class I narcotics is regulated in Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with due regard to Law No. 11 of 2012 concerning the Juvenile Criminal
Justice System and the rights that must be protected in children. The regulations
related to criminal sanctions against children consist of criminal sanctions and
measures. The analysis of law enforcement on children as intermediaries in Class
I narcotics is related to law enforcement and the judge's legal considerations in
imposing criminal penalties in Decision Number 7/PID. SUS-Anak/2024/PN.MDN,
Decision Number 20/PID.SUS-Anak/2024/PN.MDN, and Decision Number
54/PID.SUS-Anak/2024/PN.MDN, there are still discrepancies with the provisions
stipulated in Law Number 11 of 2012.
