Scabies is a contagious skin disease caused by infestation of Sarcoptes scabiei mites and is often spread in crowded environments such as boarding schools. Poor personal hygiene is one of the main risk factors in the transmission of this disease. This study aims to determine the factors that influence personal hygiene in the prevention of scabies in students of the Islamic Center Foundation of North Sumatra. This study used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design, involving 81 respondents selected through stratified random sampling technique. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using the chi-square test. The results showed that there was a significant influence between knowledge (p=0.000), attitude (p=0.001), source of information (p=0.001), and boarding school staff support (p=0.017) on personal hygiene behavior. Thus, it can be concluded that factors such as the level of knowledge, attitude, source of information, and support from pesantren staff play an important role in shaping students' personal hygiene habits, which in turn can prevent the transmission of scabies. Interventions in the form of health education and increasing the role of pesantren officers are recommended to strengthen scabies prevention efforts in the pesantren environmenten_US
