    Abstract
    This reasearch discusses the representation of women in the film إن شاء الله ولد /ʾin syāʾ Allāh walad/ by Amjad Al-Rasheed (Sociolinguistics). The purpose of this study is to analyze the representation of women in the film إن شاء الله ولد /ʾin syāʾ Allāh walad/ from the perspective of language and gander, between characters to depict gender inequality and a woman’s efforts to figtht against restrictions. This research uses the language and gender theory proposed by Sumarsono and Partana. This research is a library research with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected using listening and note-taking techniques using data transcripts and data classification. The data in this research were in the form of dialogues or converstation of the characters in the film إن شاء الله ولد /ʾin syāʾ Allāh walad/ which contained differences in gender and language. The results of this research show that the language and gander classification of body movemants and facial expressions amounted to 22 data, voice intonation amounted to 8 data, phonemes as distinguishing features amounted to 1 data, kinship system theory amounted to 5 data, consertative and innovative amounted to 4 data. As for the classification of language and gender from taboo theory, no data was found in the study. The conclusion of this reaserch is that the use of language in women's dialogue reflects women's assertiveness and efforts to speak up, facial expressions and voice intonation as well as the choice of diction show the dynamics of power.
