dc.description.abstractGITA NADA SITOMPUL. The Use of Various Doses of Fermented Liquid Organic Fertilizer from Cattle Rumen Contents on Bede Grass (Brachiaria decumbens) Productivity. (Supervised by NEVY DIANA HANAFI and USMAN BUDI) One of the tropical grasses that has adapted is brachiaria grass which grows in a wide range of soil fertility, including nutrient-poor soils such as ultisols. Ultisols have problems with soil acidity, organic matter, macronutrients and very low P. Cattle rumen POC is an organic fertilizer made from the fermentation of cow rumen fluid. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using various doses of cow rumen fermentation POC on the productivity of bede grass (Brachiaria decumbens). The study was conducted at the Greenhouse and Field Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara and the analysis of rumen content POC was carried out at the Agricultural Instrument Standardization Agency (BSIP) of North Sumatra. The study was conducted in December 2024-April 2025. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications, namely P0 = control (without POC), P1 = 100ml / polybag, P2 = 150ml / polybag, P3 = 200ml / polybag, P3 = 250ml / polybag. The variables observed were plant height, number of tillers, fresh material weight and dry weight production. The results showed that the administration of POC treatment with different doses had a significant effect on plant height, number of tillers and a very significant effect on dry weight and fresh weight. The results showed that the use of POC in the rumen of cattle on the productivity of Brachiaria decumbens grass could have a very significant effect (P <0.01) on the weight of fresh material and dry weight of grass and had a significant effect (P <0.05) on plant height and number of tillers of Brachiaria decumbens grass.en_US
