| dc.description.abstract | Nettle plants, which are often called itchy plants, are often considered
annoying to the public because they can cause itching on the skin that comes into
direct contact with the plant. In addition, the public is also not familiar with nettle
plants. This study needs to be conducted to determine the distribution and
differences in the types of nettles in the Nature Tourism Park (TWA). This study
aims to determine the distribution of nettle types and their distribution patterns in
the Sibolangit Nature Tourism Park. The method used was purposive sampling,
sample plots measuring 10 x 10 m, stake level 5 x 5 m, seedling level 2 x 2 m,
based on the results of observations in the field, the three types of nettles found
were elephant nettle, chicken nettle, and deer nettle. Elephant nettle or pulus
(Dendrocnide stimulans) is a plant species from the genus Dendrocnide which is
widely found in tropical rainforest areas; lowlands in parts of Indonesia. included
in the Urticaceae family so that it is closely related to the Nettle or Jelutung plant
(Girardina palmata). Chicken nettle Laportea interrupta (L.) grows up to 1-2
meters. Single leaves, serrated leaf edges, pointed tips, spiral leaf arrangement,
heart-shaped leaves, reddish-green stems and branches in the leaf axils, tree
height is usually the same as spinach, taproot and small root hairs. Deer nettle
has red lines on the stems and veins of the leaves. Dark green to soft green with a
width of between 3 and 15 cm. The shape of the leaves looks like langsat tree
leaves which tend to be oval and dark green. The basic nature of all is the same,
namely having dangerous poison that can cause discomfort to the victim of its
sting. It can be seen that the most dominant distribution pattern is a random
distribution pattern, with an IP of 0.00, then a uniform distribution pattern, with
an IP less than zero and clustered, with an IP above the value of 0. | en_US |
