Derivasi Kata حكم /Ḥakama/ dan Makna Kontekstualnya dalam Juz 1-10

Abstract

This research discusses the derivation of the word حكم /ḥakama/ and it’s contextual meanings in the Quran Juz 1-10. The purpose of this study is to describe the forms of derivation of the word حكم /ḥakama/ and to describe the contextual meanings of each derivation of the word حكم /ḥakama/ in Juz 1-10. This research uses the theory of contextual meaning proposed by Nur and the theory of derivation proposed by Nur and Ni’mah. This study is a library research and uses descriptive analysis methods. The data used in this research are the forms of derivation of the word حكم /ḥakama/ sourced from the Quran Juz 1-10. The data collection technique used is the note-taking observation technique by Mahsun, which means that the data is observed through the use of language in writing, and then points relevant to the research problem are recorded. The results show that the derivations of the word حكم /ḥakama/ in Juz 1-10 amount to 20 forms found in 8 surahs and 36 verses. The derivations of the word حكم /ḥakama/ have 7 linguistic context meanings, 13 situational contexts, 14 emotional contexts, and 7 cultural contexts. The conclusion of this study is that the most frequently found derivation of the word حكم /ḥakama/ is the word الْحَكِيْمُ /al-ḥakīmu/, and the most frequent contextual meaning is the emotional context.
