    Abstract
Accessibility is the ease of a person to achieve a goal, which involves comfort, safety and travel time so that this will make it easier for people to carry out activities, especially for people with disabilities, as Law No. 4 of 1997 concerning Persons with Disabilities. This research aims to describe the accessibility of persons with disabilities in the participation of General Elections in Batu Bara Regency This research uses descriptive research methods with a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out using interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The data obtained qualitatively uses the dimensions of accessibility (cognitive dimensions, behavioral dimensions, and administrative dimensions) according to Hasan in Sari (2012). The results of this study reveal that the accessibility of persons with disabilities during general elections in Batu Bara Regency is not good enough in providing access as evidenced in: Cognitive dimension, people with disabilities have not received the access they need such as sticks and wheelchairs and the lack of government attention to people with disabilities. The Behavioral Dimension, the lack of community communication towards people with disabilities so that they lack information related to general elections. The Administrative Bureaucratic Dimension, in the procedure section at polling stations served for people with disabilities is quite good and straightforward, and there is no distance between the polling stations and the people with disabilities.
