    Abstract
The occurrence of slope failure at the loading ramp station of the palm oil mill owned by Perkebunan Nusantara has disrupted the smooth operation of the production process. This problem arises from its location on a steep slope, compounded by the underlying soil conditions. Such a situation requires a geotechnical analysis to determine an appropriate reinforcement solution in order to prevent further losses. This study aims to analyze the stability of the existing slope and its condition after reinforcement using a cantilever retaining wall. The analysis was carried out using two approaches, namely manual calculation and numerical modeling with PLAXIS 2D 2024.2. The results from both approaches were then compared to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed reinforcement. The findings indicate that the safety factor of the original slope was below the required standard (SF > 1.5). However, after the design of the cantilever retaining wall, the safety factor increased to 1.579 under static conditions and 1.229 under seismic loading. Both values satisfy the stability criteria as stipulated in the design requirements. Therefore, it can be concluded that the cantilever retaining wall is effective in improving slope stability and preventing the recurrence of landslides. The implementation of this solution is expected to support operational continuity at the loading ramp area and serve as a reference for addressing similar geotechnical issues in other locations.
