Nilai Moral dalam Novel Ning Anak Wayang Karya Niken dan Anjar: Kajian Sosiologi Sastra

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of moral values in shaping a good and virtous human personality. In modern life, moral values often experience a shift; therefore, it is essential to examine them through literary works that reflect social life. This study aims to describe the moral values contained in the novel Ning Anak Wayang written by Niken and Anjar using the approach of sociology of literature. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method by analyzing the novel text in depth based on the theory of moral values proposed by Wicaksono. The result of this study show that the novel presents three main forms of moral values, namely: (1) The relationship between humans and God, which is reflected in the attitude of gratitude and piety of the characters; (2) the relationship between humans and themselves, which appears in the from of honesty, responbility and hard work; and (3) the relationship between humans and others, which is manifested through mutual help and social empathy
