Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality from infectious diseases worldwide. The viruses that cause ARI include adenoviruses, myxoviruses, picornaviruses, coronaviruses, herpesviruses, mycoplasma, and others. The ARI control program at Sentosa Baru Health Center has not been fully optimized due to the limited involvement of the community in participating in the program and the shortage of health workers at the health center, resulting in suboptimal implementation over the past year. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the ARI control program in the community at Sentosa Baru Health Center, Medan Perjuangan District. This research is a descriptive qualitative study conducted at Sentosa Baru Health Center, Sentosa Baru II Village, Medan Perjuangan District, Medan City, North Sumatra. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Informants interviewed consisted of the ARI program coordinator, ARI clinic doctor, mothers of under-five children, and community members. The findings show that the implementation of the ARI control program by Sentosa Baru Health Center in Medan Perjuangan District generally runs well and is in accordance with the ARI Control Guidelines issued by the Indonesian Ministry of Health in 2012. However, several challenges remain, including limited facilities, low public awareness, and the need for continuous training of health workers. Nevertheless, educational and participatory strategies have strengthened the effectiveness of the program. This study is expected to contribute to improving the quality of ARI control programs at Sentosa Baru Health Center.en_US
