This study aims to identify the morphological characteristics and diversity of coconut varieties in North Nias Regency, North Sumatra. The study was conducted from March to May 2025 using a survey method using the International Plant Genetic Resources Institute (IPGRI) coconut descriptor guide and accidental sampling techniques. The results showed that 350 coconut genotypes were identified in Afulu, Lahewa, and Sawo Districts. The results of the morphological characterization included crown shape (round, semi-round, X-shaped 'silhouette', V-shaped), flower shape (normal), fruit shape (oval, ovate, angular, round), and shell shape (ovate, nearly round, oblate). The dendogam results indicate that the level of coconut genotypic diversity in North Nias Regency meets broad criteria.en_US
