Abstract
This study analyzes the behavior and impact of ijime in the anime Oshi no Ko by Aka
Akasaka with a focus on the types of ijime that occur and their impact on the victims. This
study uses a qualitative method with an ijime theory approach to identify forms of bullying
behavior and impact theory to analyze the consequences experienced by victims. The
results of the study indicate that there are four types of ijime behavior in the anime Oshi
no Ko, namely physical ijime, verbal ijime, cyberbullying ijime, and indirect verbal ijime.
From the data analysis, six cases of ijime were found, consisting of two cases of physical
ijime, one case of verbal ijime, two cases of cyberbullying ijime, and one case of indirect
verbal ijime. The impact of ijime on victims in this anime is divided into three main
categories, namely physical health disorders, changes from victims to perpetrators, and
urges to commit suicide. This study shows that the anime Oshi no Ko depicts ijime as a
complex phenomenon with serious impacts on its victims. This study is expected to be
further developed by analyzing the causes of ijime in a sustainable manner and comparing
it with social reality in Japan.
