This study aims to examine the relationship between information needs and the information-seeking behavior of farmers in Rumah Kabanjahe Village. A quantitative approach was employed, using an associative research design. The sample was selected through convinience sampling. The population consisted of 513 farmers, from which 103 respondents were sampled. Data were collected using a questionnaire. Instrument quality was tested through validity testing at a 5% significance level and reliability testing using Cronbach’s Alpha (α > 0.60). Data analysis included descriptive statistics, simple linear regression, and the coefficient of determination (R²). Hypothesis testing was conducted using F-tests and t-tests. The findings indicate a positive and significant relationship between information needs and the information-seeking behavior of farmers in Rumah Kabanjahe Village, with a t-value of 7.873 > t-table value of 1.663 and a significance level of < 0.001 (< 0.05). Information needs contributed 37.4% to the variance in information-seeking behavior, indicating that information needs significantly influence such behavior. The remaining 63.6% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.
