Generation Z represents a young workforce group that now dominates the labor market and is characterized by dynamism, critical thinking, and a tendency to seek new experiences through frequent job changes, known as job hopping. This phenomenon has become a significant concern for organizations as it affects workforce stability and the effectiveness of human resource management. This study aims to analyze the influence of Leader–Member Exchange (LMX) on Job Hopping Intention (JHI), with Perceived Organizational Support (POS) as a moderating variable among Generation Z employees in Medan City. The study employed a quantitative correlational approach using purposive sampling with 145 respondents who were Generation Z employees from various occupational sectors. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using simple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with the help of SPSS version 26. The results indicate that LMX has a negative and significant effect on JHI, meaning that a strong leader–member relationship can reduce employees’ intention to change jobs. Another result show that POS acts as a moderator that strengthens the negative relationship between LMX and JHI.en_US
